Jim Sleeper is the owner of JBS Asset Management. With 37 years of experience in financial services, Jim has a deep understanding of the complexities of money management. He specializes in managing individual stocks, and is well known as an effective problem solver.
After graduating with a bachelor degree in economics and an MBA from Penn State, Jim dove into the world of finance. He worked for E.F. Hutton and later Capital Strategy Group, where he served as president for seven years before establishing his own firm. He is experienced in both sides of money management, working as an RIA® (Registered Investment Advisor) and later as an IAR® (Investment Advisory Representative). He holds FINRA securities licenses series 7 and 65.
Jim has a long reputation of trust, honesty and hard work. Clients and colleagues turn to Jim to help them solve the toughest cases, knowing he will not give up until he’s found a solution. He loves meeting with clients and finds the greatest satisfaction in helping people achieve financial independence. He brings all of his resources to the table in helping clients optimize their assets.
Jim and his wife live in Syracuse, New York, where they raised two sons, who also live in Syracuse. Jim actively volunteers in the community, where he serves as chairman of The Syracuse Ride for Missing and Exploited Children, a cause that helps to recover missing children and prevent future victimization of children.
